Infrastructure & Technical

01

Does ComusHost conflict with my existing PMS or channel manager?

No. ComusHost is not a PMS — it's a guest-experience and operations layer that kicks in once a guest has checked into your property. It organizes the in-stay experience and your local ecosystem, alongside whatever PMS you already use.

02

Won't entering content for every room take days?

No. In the dashboard you create content once and publish it instantly to "All Units" with a single checkbox. You build your core local guide and standard room services first, then assign them to every room in one click. You only spend extra time when you want profile-specific content — for example different lists for families, couples, or standard vs. suite rooms.

03

Will the system freeze on a slow internet connection?

Very unlikely. ComusHost's web interface is built mobile-first with an ultra-lightweight codebase. Images load as optimized WebP in the background, so text and buttons render quickly even on 2G/3G. Any feedback that affects the experience goes straight to the top of our engineering priorities.

04

If something breaks, will I need to find a developer?

No. ComusHost is a SaaS platform — server maintenance, updates, bug fixes, and security are entirely our responsibility. You just use the dashboard; all technical work happens behind the scenes on our end.

Merchant Relationships & Trust

05

Will offering this to local merchants hurt my relationship with them?

The opposite — you become a partner who sends them ready customers. Many merchants already pay 10–30% commission to delivery platforms or agencies for customers they never meet face to face. You send them high-spending tourists staying right on your property. It's a professional partnership that grows the local economy.

06

Won't poor service from a merchant hurt my property's rating?

That risk always exists, but ComusHost gives you the tools to manage it. Guests can leave general feedback through the platform, and you can hide or remove any merchant from your dashboard in one click if they underperform. You stay in full control of who appears in your guide.

07

How can I trust a merchant to report cash payments honestly?

Realistically, any system relying purely on trust is exploitable. That's why in ComusHost, every confirmed order or reservation request is sent to both the merchant and your dashboard at the same time. At month end you have a digital transaction log to reconcile against. You can also see average per-guest spend on platforms like Google and choose a flat per-booking commission instead.

08

Why would merchants take my small, independent setup seriously?

On large platforms, a merchant gets lost among thousands of competitors and has to pay for visibility. On your property, they can be the only — or one of very few — options in their category. A guest already staying with you is far more valuable than someone passing by on the street.

09

Doesn't calculating commissions every month create extra work?

No. How much referral volume came from which merchant, and the resulting order value, is listed automatically in the dashboard. At month end you just share the report with the merchant, confirm it together, and collect your payment.

10

How do commissions from merchants work legally and for invoicing?

ComusHost is not a party to the commercial agreement between you and the merchant — we only provide the infrastructure. To formalize this revenue, you can invoice the merchant at month end under a "Promotion & Marketing Service Fee." There's no legal obstacle to issuing this kind of invoice as a hospitality business.

11

Will subscription pricing increase once the system is established?

No. Our core goal is to mature the system together with our early users, and we won't move to high pricing later. ComusHost exists to build a sustainable ecosystem that works for everyone — our per-room, transparent subscription model reflects the scale of your property.

12

Won't upselling extra services in the room feel pushy?

It can, if approached as a hard sell. But ComusHost isn't a sales push — it's a convenience tool. A guest sitting in the room, instead of stressing over "where do I find a transfer," sees a trusted option ready in your guide. Because you're offering it as a digital concierge rather than commercial pressure, it reads as professional, not pushy.

Guest Experience & Operations

13

Will I miss requests if I'm not checking my phone at that moment?

ComusHost runs as a PWA (Progressive Web App), so it can send push notifications like a native app. Delivery is reliable on Android; iOS doesn't yet fully support the same standard. Based on user feedback during this phase, we're ready to move to a dedicated iOS app if needed. You can also share the dashboard with your team.

14

Won't the system go to waste if older guests refuse to use a QR code?

QR codes are increasingly common at restaurants and cafés, and most smartphone users are already familiar with them. Individual exceptions who don't use the technology don't undo the overall benefit for everyone else.

15

Could a bad translation cause a crisis?

ComusHost's multilingual layer is powered by Google Cloud Translation — one of the industry's most reliable and widely used translation engines.

16

If a merchant is slow to reply on WhatsApp, will the guest blame me?

To avoid this, we recommend making fast response time a minimum criterion when choosing which merchants to add. ComusHost delivers the request to the merchant instantly; response time is up to them. You can monitor merchant performance from the dashboard and remove anyone hurting your guest experience.

Sustainability of the Model

17

If a guest exchanges numbers directly with a merchant, do I lose commission on later visits?

Your commission is always secured on the first order or reservation. Tracking cash for later direct visits can get harder — that's realistic. But experience shows guests tend to prefer discovering new places, or the convenience of ordering via QR with their room number, each time. The exceptions that slip through stay small relative to the overall revenue the system generates.

18

I'm in a small town with no merchants to partner with — what do I do?

You can still digitize a service even without a merchant. A local car rental company, a tour operator serving the area, or an individual offering guiding, traditional handicrafts, or homegrown/homemade products can all use the system. You can add people offering massage or babysitting too. ComusHost is designed for any independent service provider that adds value to your property, not just physical shops.

19

Isn't managing settings room by room confusing?

No, because you don't set anything up from scratch per room. You build one content pool — categories like Featured Restaurants or Local Services — then just check the relevant boxes per room profile (a kids' workshop for the family room, VIP transfer for the suite). The dashboard handles the rest in the background.

20

How long does it take to update the dashboard when a merchant changes terms?

About thirty seconds. Once you edit and save the merchant's profile, every QR code across all rooms updates instantly — no technical knowledge or support ticket required.

Comus AI Agents

21

What languages does the AI agent support?

Our AI agents are built to be multilingual, handling text conversations in six or more languages including English and Turkish. Our ElevenLabs-powered voice layer speaks the same languages naturally. The exact language coverage is set together based on your guest/customer profile.

22

Can the AI agent integrate with my existing POS or IoT devices?

The Restaurant AI Agent is built to integrate directly with Comus POS. Integration with third-party POS systems and Smart IoT devices is evaluated case by case based on your existing setup — talk to our team to scope it out.

23

How is the business AI agent different from a chatbot?

A chatbot typically answers predefined questions. The Comus AI Agent is an analysis and automation layer configured for your business — running market research, competitor analysis, historical-data forecasting, and profitability reporting. It's a business-intelligence service, not a conversation gimmick.

General Questions

24

When is the mobile app launching?

Our mobile app is currently in development. We're not sharing a fixed date — we'll announce it here on the site, and directly to the businesses we work with, once it's ready.

25

What's the difference between Comus and ComusHost?

Comus is the umbrella brand behind AI agents for restaurants, hotels, and general businesses. ComusHost is one product in that family — a QR-based guest experience solution for vacation rentals and boutique hotels.
